Applications are invited on purely contract basis for a period of one year for undertaking specific work on project “Compilation, Revision/Vetting of Records Retention Schedules for records pertaining to Substantive Functions of various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ PSUs etc. of Government of India” in the National Archives of India, New Delhi.

Essential Qualification: (1). Master Degree in History (2). Working experience in the field of Archives and knowledge of appraisal/evaluation of records/files (3). Preparation of guidelines for retaining the files/records of Government of India i.e. Compilation/Revision/ Vetting of Records Retention Schedules of substantive functions.
Desirable (1) One year Diploma in Archives and Records Management from National Archives of India (2)Knowledge of basic computer applications.Age limit: Maximum 65 years as on the date of advertisement.
Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- Per Month.
Duties: Compilation/ Revision/Vetting of Records Retention Schedules etc of substantive functions of Ministries / Departments / Offices / PSUs etc. of Government of India.
Reservation will be given as per Government of India rules.
The persons engaged for the purpose will have to achieve the targets as fixed by the Department. The services are purely on contractual basis for the period of one year. However, the services can be terminated at any time if the performance is found unsatisfactory in any manner. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of interview in the National Archives of India, New Delhi. No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
