IGNOU: Vacancy of Registrar

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), world’s largest, is looking forward to fill its unreserved post of Registrar (Admin) for its headquarters in the capital.
The appointment shall be for the term of five years. The post carries the pay band of Rs.37,400- 67,000 with grade pay of Rs.10,000 plus allowances as per IGNOU rules.
The Registrar shall be responsible for managing the administrative affairs of the mega open university. He/She would be entrusted to liaison with different institutions like UGC, other state open universities, education institutions like NCTE, AICTE, MHRD, etc. Performing all functions as may be specified in statutes, ordinances, regulations and as required from time to time by the Board of Management or the Vice Chancellor shall also be his/her duty.
The upper age limit for this post is 57 years. Other details regarding qualifications, age, experience, etc., are displayed on the homepage of IGNOUs website viz., www.ignou.ac.in .
The application processing fee is of Rs.200 for General category and Rs.100 for OBC and SC/ST candidates by means of demand draft/ pay order drawn in favour of IGNOU shall be payable at New Delhi.
Application forms can be downloaded from the University’s website. Application form (duly filled in) together with the copies of testimonials duly attested should be sent to the Asst. Registrar (recruitment), Administration division, Block-7, Room 13, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
The last date for applying for the post is on or before 4th October 2013.
