Age Limit: Age limit for unreserved candidates is 28 years. Relaxations will be as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess Master’s Degree in Zoology from a recognised University with minimum 55% marks.
Application Fee: Unreserved Candidates must pay Rs.400/-, OBC candidates must pay Rs.200/-, SC/ST /PHD candidates must pay Rs.100/- as application fee in the form of Demand Draft payable to Accounts Officer, PAO (BSI/ZSI), Kolkata.
Selection Process: Candidate will be selected on the basis of merit and short listed candidates will be called for interview.
How to Apply: Candidates must apply in a prescribed format which can be downloaded from http://www.zsi.gov.in, fill it with all mandatory details, affix photograph, attach all necessary documentary proofs supporting to the age, research experience and educational qualifications certificate copies and DD in a sealed envelope which must be super scribed as “Application for the post of JRF” and send it to The Director, Zoological Survey of India, M-Block, New Alipore, Kolkata-53 by Speed post/Registered post within 30 days from the publication of the notification.
