1,52,000 New Recruitment in Railways – Indian Railway Budget 2013-14

Rail Budget 2013-2014: Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has announced that railways will recruit 1,52,000 new employees.

Some other facts:

• No increase in passenger fares.

• Railways to set up a Debt Service Fund.

• Reservation fee for Tatkal services and superfast trains to be hiked.

• Railways to introduce 67 new express trains.

• 5 per cent average increase in freight.

• New coach manufacturing and maintenance facilities to be set up in various places including Rae Bareli, Bhilwara, Sonepat, Kalahandi, Kolar,Palakkad and Pratapgarh.

• New complaint No: 1800-111-321.

• Free wi-fi facility to be provided in select trains.

• The new e-ticketing system will be able to bear the load of simultaneous login of 1,00,000 users. The present capacity stands at 40,000.

India’s PSLV-C20 successfully launches seven satellites

India's polar satellite launch vehicle continued with its success streak on 25-02-2013, launching Indo-French satellite Saral and six other satellites from Austria, Britain, Canada and Denmark from its Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh). The 23rd launch of PSLV-C20 - the 22nd consecutive success - also marked the second highest number of satellites being flown in a launch vehicle by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Saral, built by ISRO, would study the ocean surface and environment using two French devices - ARgos and ALtila, based on the principle of RADAR. The other satellites riding piggyback are two micro-satellitesUniBRITE and BRITE from Austria and AAUSAT3 from Denmark andSTRaND from the UK, besides a microsatellite (NEOSSat) and a mini satellite (SAPPHIRE) from Canada.

SSC Recruitment 2013 – Apply online for 1630 Engg Asst & Technician Vacancies:

Staff Selection Commission has issued notification for filling up of 1630 Engineering Assistant & Technician Vacancies on behalf of the Prasar Bharati under special dispensation given by the Government. Eligible candidates can apply through online from 23-02-2013 for Part – I & II Registration up to 20-03-2013 for  Part – I registration  & 22-03-2013 for Part – II registration. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess 03 yrs Diploma in Radio Telecommunication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering  from a recognized University/ Institute with knowledge of wireless Radio Engineering for Engineering Assistant Posts & 10 + 2 pass from a recognized Board, Diploma of at least 2 yrs duration in Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute for Technician posts.

Application Fee: Candidates should pay the application fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) only through State Bank of India (SBI) either in the form of Challan or net banking. No fee for SC/ST/PH/ Ex-Serviceman and all women candidates.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on a Written Examination which will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission for both the posts.

How to Apply: Candidates have to apply online from 23-02-2013 to 20-03-2013 & 22-03-2013 through the website http://ssconline2.gov.in. Fill the application with all mandatory details and submit it on or before stipulated dates.

Instructions for online Applications:
1. First Candidates have to scan their Photograph and signature for filling up of Part – II Registration.
2. Log on to the website http://ssconline2.gov.in.
3. Read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options.
4. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form.
5. The filling of online application contains two parts: Part – I & II.
6. In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate shall be prompted to check the details and make any correction in the application.
7. Now Press “I agree” button after declaration correction/modification etc. shall not be allowed.
8. Now a page with Registration No. shall be generated. Note down registration number or take the print out of the page.
9. To pay fee in cash, candidate can take printout of challan generated online after completion of Part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part II registration. Those who want to pay online through net banking can go directly to part II registration after completion of Part I.
10. Part II registration requires filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.
11. Fill Part – II Registration and enter Transaction ID of the Bank in the relevant space.
12. Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 4 to 7.

Staff Selection Commission – SSC will conduct a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment of  Junior Engineer (Civil, Civil & Electrical, Electrical & Mechanical, QS & C, Civil & Mechanical) in various departments. 5. Take the print of the system generated form or note down the registration no.
6. Candidates who have to pay application fee can pay fee online through SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank Challan.
7. To pay fee in cash, candidate should take print-out of Challan generated online after completion of part I registration.
8. Deposit the requisite fee in pay branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part II registration.
9. Click on Part-II registration and upload photo & signature as mentioned in the form and enter the payment details.
10. After submitting all the details click on submit button.
11. Candidates will receive emails after completion of Part II Registration.
12. Copy of email & Challan must be retained for any further assistance.
