UGC-NET LATEST NEWS

The issue between the UGC (University Grants Commission) and NET candidates have finally come to an end. Yes,on Friday, following a Supreme Court order in relief to the aspirants of NET the UGC has withdrawn its decision to increase the cut-off marks for clearing the NET. The issue raised when the UGC has increased the eligibility scores by 15% without spreading a notice to its candidates. And hence students who have already applied for NET roared up and filed a petition against the act by UGC. Including the cutoffs UGC had also made several changes in the month of June 2012, and the candidates were brought into light about the changes only when the UGC had announced it just a day before announcing the results of the exam on September 18, 2012. The NET (National Eligibility Test) is is conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of the UGC, which determines the eligibility for lectureship and for awarding Junior research fellowship to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. Initially the notification said that, candidates belonging to the SC/ST sections needed 35, 35 and 60 marks respectively for qualifying papers 1, 2 and 3. And the marks to be obtained by the OBC's were set as 35, 35 and 68 and for those candidates belonging to General category it was 40, 40 and 75. But, when the results were announced, candidates who have been eligible as per the initial criteria failed to be qualified. The sources revealed that, based on the new criteria, the percentage of marks to be scores by candidates belonging to different categories has been increased by 15%. And hence the petition was filed against UGC. Finally, on Friday, the Supreme Court had issued an order saying that "The UGC's decision was invalid as it did not follow the exam policy in announcing the changes in cut-offs and that too, in such a short period of time". However, the decision was a relief to students of NET. Please Note: This decision is applicable for those candidates who had attended the UGC NET June 2012 Examination too.



PROCEDURE & CRITERIA FOR DECLARATION OF RESULT:

Step I:
Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for lectureship:
The candidates are required to obtain following minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

Step III:Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for lectureship only.
Step IV:A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III.
It may be noted that the above qualifying criteria decided by UGC is final and binding.

பத்தாம் வகுப்பு பொதுத்தேர்வு எழுத உள்ள மாணவ, மாணவியர், அந்தந்த பள்ளிகளில் உள்ள, இணையதள வசதியைப் பயன்படுத்தி, தங்களைப் பற்றிய விவரங்களை, பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என, தேர்வுத் துறை இயக்குனர், வசுந்தரா தேவி உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார். ஜன., 4ம் தேதிக்குள், இந்தப் பணிகளை முடிக்க வேண்டும்.

தமிழகத்தில் அடுத்த ஆண்டு, மார்ச் மாதம், 10ம் வகுப்பு பொதுத் தேர்வு துவங்கி, ஏப்ரலில் முடிகிறது. இந்த தேர்வை, 10.5 லட்சம் மாணவ, மாணவியர் எழுதவுள்ளனர். பொதுத் தேர்வு எழுதும் மாணவ, மாணவியர் குறித்த விவரங்கள், "சிடி"யில் சேகரிக்கப்பட்டு, கல்வி மாவட்ட வாரியாக, குறிப்பிட்ட மையங்களில் ஒப்படைத்து, பின் அவை, தேர்வுத் துறை இயக்குனரகத்திற்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படும். தேர்வுத் துறையில், பல்வேறு திட்டங்கள், இணையதளம் வழியாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. இதனால், பொதுத் தேர்வு எழுதும் மாணவ, மாணவியர் விவரங்களையும், இணையதளம் வழியாக பதிவு செய்ய, தேர்வுத் துறை உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. மாணவ, மாணவியர், தங்களது பள்ளிகளில் உள்ள இணையதள வசதியை பயன்படுத்தி, ஆசிரியர் உதவியுடன், தங்களைப் பற்றிய விவரங்களை, இணையதளத்தில் பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என, தேர்வுத் துறை கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

பதிவு செய்யப்படும் தகவல்களில் தவறுகள் இருந்தால், அதை உடனடியாக சரி செய்து கொள்ளவும், வழி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஜன., 4ம் தேதிக்குள், இந்தப் பணிகளை முடிக்க வேண்டும் என, தேர்வுத் துறை இயக்குனர், வசுந்தரா தேவி, வலியுறுத்தி உள்ளார்.

இது குறித்து, வசுந்தரா தேவி கூறுகையில், "தேர்வுத்துறை இணையதளத்தில், ஒவ்வொரு பள்ளியும், அவர்களுக்கென ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள, "பாஸ்வேர்டை" பயன்படுத்தி, இணையதளத்திற்குள் சென்று, விவரங்களை பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். தகவல்கள் சரியாக இருக்கிறதா என்பதை, தலைமை ஆசிரியர்கள் உறுதி செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என,தெரிவித்தார்.

இணையதளத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்படும் தகவல்கள், "நிக்" மையங்கள் மூலம் பெறப்பட்டு, சென்னையில் உள்ள தகவல் தொகுப்பு விவர மையத்திற்கு அனுப்பப்பட உள்ளது. பின், மாணவ, மாணவியர் குறித்த விவர பட்டியல், தேர்வுத் துறைக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படும். இந்த புதிய திட்டத்தால், தேர்வுப் பணிகள், பெரும் அளவிற்கு குறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக, தேர்வுத் துறை வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்தன. இணையதள பதிவின் போது, மாணவ, மாணவியர் கவனிக்க வேண்டிய, முக்கிய அம்சங்கள் குறித்து, தேர்வுத்துறை கூறியிருப்பதாவது

* தேர்வர்களின் பெயர், பிறந்த தேதி, இனம், மொழி, எந்த மொழிகளில் தேர்வை எழுதுகின்றனர் என்ற விவரங்களை, ஒன்றுக்கு பலமுறை, மாணவர்கள் சரிபார்க்க வேண்டும்.
* மாணவர்களின் புகைப்படங்கள் மிகவும் முக்கியம். சமீபத்தில் எடுத்த புகைப்படத்தை, "அப்லோட்" செய்ய வேண்டும்.
* உடல் ஊனமுற்றவர்களாக இருந்தால், "PH" என, குறிப்பிட வேண்டும். இந்த விவரங்கள் மிகவும் முக்கியம் என்பதால், தலைமை ஆசிரியர் மேற்பார்வையில், பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
* சரியான தகவல்களை பதிவு செய்தால்தான், பிழையில்லாத மதிப்பெண் பட்டியலை வழங்க முடியும். இதை உணர்ந்து, தலைமை ஆசிரியர்கள் செயல்பட வேண்டும். தவறுகள் நடந்தால், சம்பந்தபட்ட தலைமை ஆசிரியர் மீது, கடுமையான ஒழுங்கு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும். இவ்வாறு, தேர்வுத் துறை கூறியுள்ளது.

பிளஸ் 2 மாணவர்கள் திருத்தம் செய்யலாம்

பிளஸ் 2 தேர்வெழுதும் மாணவர்கள், தங்களை குறித்த விவரங்களை, பழைய முறையில், ஏற்கனவே வழங்கி உள்ளனர். எனினும், அந்த விவரங்களில், ஏதேனும் தவறுகள் இருந்தால், உடனடியாக, இணையதளம் வழியாக, திருத்தம் செய்யலாம் என, தேர்வுத் துறை இயக்குனர் தெரிவித்தார். ஜன., 4ம் தேதி வரை, இந்த திருத்தங்களை, அந்தந்த பள்ளிகளில் உள்ள இணையதளம் வழியாகச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என, அவர் அறிவுறுத்தி உள்ளார்.

Written exam was held on 10-11-2012 and 11-11-2012. Qualified candidates in Paper-I are eligible to attend for Paper-II and Paper- III. In the matter of Common Written Examination (CWE) for Recruitment in clerical cadre
in Public Sector Banks
It has been decided by the IBPS to cancel the evening session of online CWE held on
15.12.2012 for recruitment in clerical cadre in Public Sector Banks due to unforeseen
circumstances. All those candidates who appeared in the aforesaid examination are
hereby advised to be in readiness for appearing in the re-examination tentatively to be
conducted online by the IBPS on 29.12.2012 or 30.12.2012.All affected candidates will
be communicated individually through email and SMS as provided by the candidates in
their application form about their venue, date and time of examination in due course. 
The candidates are required to download their revised call letters from IBPS website.
All those candidates appearing in IBPS CWE are hereby advised to refrain from
bringing any electronic device like mobile phone, pen-drive, calculator etc in the
examination hall. They are also advised to refrain from resorting to unruly 
behaviour before, during and after the examination in each session at the 
examination venue. Such an act on the part of the candidates will be dealt with 
seriously by the IBPS and such candidates may be debarred from appearing in the 
future examinations.
Inconvenience caused to the affected candidates due to conduct of re-examination is
sincerely regretted.
